ENGLISH ABSTRACT: This paper presents the results of a survey conducted on the performance of local maintenance practices. The client base of a leading asset management consultancy was used as the basis for the survey. The sample included a diversity of enterprises across the local industry. Maintenance-related data for 2004 was statistically analyzed; it is presented here in three categories relating to maintenance performance: planning and resource usage, maintenance tactics and time distribution, and performance monitoring and reporting. The aim of the results is to serve as performance benchmarks for the local industry, which will aid in setting targets and identifying initiatives for improvement.
